So, what's it like? Well, the texture's about right, but it's not nearly chocolatey enough, and the olive oil gives it a slightly weird flavour. It's definitely got potential, but I think it probably needs more cocoa powder, less flour and a switch to sunflower oil. And maybe some chocolate chips too! But it was definitely worth the punt and probably will be worth refining into a better brownie too.
Hello, I have a recipe I've tinkered with a bit, it's not too bad:
ReplyDelete1-big coffee mug or Pyrex cup
4 level tablespoons flour
1/4 tsp baking powder or baking soda
4 tablespoons sugar
2 tablespoons unsweetened cocoa
1 small egg, beaten
3 tablespoons milk
3 tablespoons oil -I used coconut oil
1/2 tsp vanilla
1 pinch salt
For a fudgier version, omit egg. It’s fine without it.
OPTIONAL: 3 tablespoons chocolate chips OR chopped nuts
Mix dry, then wet, then combine quickly,
microwave 3 minutes in 1000W oven, 4 minutes in 750W.
I'd be interested to see your results!
